The Importance of Color and Light
Color and light are so welcome in Spring, never more so than in the heart of a concrete city in a northern, continental climate. Long, dark, cold winter releases its hold, and I am so very grateful.
Today, the world is bright blue and sunshiney, and I am so happy to be out in it!
I had a difficult meeting to attend this morning, and knowing that it would be very hard, I a) overprepared, and b) wore colors that insist this day will bebright and declare that my spirit will not be defeated.
I chose my fabulous new Lauren Moffatt Grey Gardens blouse; over it, I layered the light green, knee-length spring jacket I found at Mrs. Huizenga's—the kind of jacket that suits Toronto too cold / too hot climate for about 1 month per year, but is JUST RIGHT for today. I am carrying my laptop in my deep orange Mellissa Beth laptop bag, and my purse is a dusty pink satin number I picked up through the Hunger Site a few years ago. So there, world! I defy you to just try and bring me down! Light pink, fuschia, lime green, hunter green, orange, silver, mimosa, I love you all and I love you all together.
Not only did I get through my meeting with a lifted heart, I looked as stylin' as all the fashionistas in tony Yorkville, without the attitude of course.
I have been remiss in my blogging duties...Visual Creative business has been booming, with many fun and engaging projects soon to be published...Watch for Intelligent Circle, Digital Multitools, Dreaming Willow, Mrs. Huizenga, and more...Thanks to my wonderful clients for keeping me busier than ever!
