It's been such a busy time I have been very much remiss in posting about new projects. I launched two major websites in the last month. The Ontario Herbalists Association I posted about last week. Today I want to show you Project Bookmark Canada's new website. Project Bookmark Canada "places text from stories and poems in the exact, physical locations where literary scenes are set." Founder Miranda Hill asked me to redesign their website and prepare the ground for a great fundraiser that is running through the month of April, the Page Turner Campaign. Every day a different author champions the campaign, spreading the word on their blog, through social media, or in the case of Shelagh Rogers, on the CBC. Check it out! There are prizes every day.

The Ontario Herbalists Association's brand new branding! A cheerful new website and logo, newsletter templates, trade-show banner, and more are warming up the Association's presence on many levels. Each section of the website features a different plant-focused background. The site is dynamic with application forms, payment integration, and social media opportunities.
We are very pleased to launch a portfolio website + logo design for a new documentary film artist. Sara Tedford Gold has a background in sociology, and with Blueberry Pie Productions she brings her unique eye to contemporary studies of community, family, geography and the connections between.
Monika Ghent is an herbalist and practitioner in alternative healing modalities. She has been practicing for many years without the help of a designer, but she felt her practice needed a more coherent visual identity for marketing purposes, and a website.
Her requirements included a reference to the natural forms which are so crucial in her work, and a vibe that would be grounded, unpretentious, and reassuring.
Visual Creative created a logo, business cards, brochures, advertising, and a website to fit these requirements. Additional support included writing and editing content, and email setup with the new domain.
The site was launched in November 2010, and Monika is excited and full of more new ideas already! Built on a Squarespace platform, the site will be manageable — and expandable — for this novice website owner.
